A Florida palmetto (Cabbage palm) is native to the Southeastern United States and the caribbean. This plant is known for its heart or terminal bud. The heart is used in dofferent salads in the Southeastern US and the Caribbean. it has a pale ivory colr and nutty flavor.
A Cabbage palm is a popular ornamnetal palm tree known for its tolerance of cold, drought and salt spray. It can be used as a single specimen, in groups or in rows along avenues and streets.
